Community Makers Night
Valentine Edition | February 2026
Makers got to make a stained glass candle from repurposed materials right in our community to take home or gift to a loved one, as well as make a Valentine card that was given to local senior citizens. We got to be creative, get messy all while making an impact!
The Impact
- 91 heartfelt Valentine cards created
- 80 delivered to seniors at Sunrise of Springfield
- 11 delivered to local West Springfield Police
- Over 74 lbs of materials was collected and saved from the landfills and much of it was repurposed and used for our candles and cards!

St.Patricks Edition | March 2026
Makers got to make a shamrock shaped seed starter from recycled mail right in our community to take home and plant or gift to grow, as well as decorate a tile that was apart of a large rainbow mural gifted to Second Story of teens in crisis shelter. We got to grow something magical from junk mail and share the luck!
The Impact
- 120 beautiful flowers will bloom this Spring
- 240 individual tiles were decorated with care and love
- One beautiful rainbow art piece was given to Second Story of Teens in Crisis to be reminded that they matter

Earth Day Edition | April 2026
When our usual location was unavailable due to voting polls we didn’t let that stop us we took our mission online and in person with Girl Scout Daisy Troop 52173. Turning everyday rocks into inspiring and beautiful art.
The Impact
- Shared how even the smallest acts of kindness can have a ripple effect in our community
- Girl Scout Daisy Troop 52173 made 41 beautiful rocks that are being placed all around our community to brighten someones day.
- Encouraged people to join us at home with a simple and easy upcycled project to spread some happiness.
VIRTUAL ALL MONTH LONG
Mother’s Day Edition | May 2026
Community Makers gathered together to celebrate moms and mother figures everywhere. They decorated and created beautiful art on hexagon wood bases with paper flowers, paint markers and more. One to take home and gift to a mother figure and one to donate to local moms in the area.
The Impact
- 72 pieces of art were created with love
- 10 pieces were donated to Second Story of Young Mothers for Mother’s Day
- 26 were gifted to local moms in the Springfield and surrounding areas
